TEHRAN -- Iranian Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani has said that the developments playing out in the region will help strengthen the status of Lebanon’s Islamic resistance movement.

Larijani made the remarks in Tehran on Sunday during a meeting with Lebanese Foreign Minister Adnan Hassan Mansour, who participated in the International Conference on Global Fight against Terrorism which was held in the Iranian capital on June 25 and 26.
The pro-democracy uprisings underway in the region have put the Zionist regime in quandary, Larijani stated.
He also said that the perseverance and resistance of the people of Lebanon against the Zionist regime have made this country a model for other resistant nations.
Mansour hailed the stance that the Islamic Republic of Iran has adopted toward Lebanon and said that Beirut is keen to further increase its cooperation with Tehran in various spheres.
